Senior Traffic Commissioner Stood Down
Senior Traffic Commissioner Stood Down. The Secretary of Transport (Philip Hammond) has removed Philip Brown from the post of Senior
Traffic Commissioner because of "medical grounds". Brown who was the first Senior Traffic Commissioner was appointed in March 2009.
The Senior Traffic Commissioner has overriding responsibility to encourage consistant licensing procedures and decisions within the operator licensing regime.
No further details have been released except from the DfT who say that they are appointing a deputy to cover the position asap.
